Beaches
There are a number of public beaches available throughout Anoka County. Many have picnic facilities and access for boating. Lifeguards are on duty at select locations. Beaches are open June through August. Call the Parks Info Line at 763-767-2820 for details. For more information see: Parks & Recreation .

Death Records
Marriage Licenses
Birth, Death, and Marriage records are available at the Vital Statistics office in the Government Center in Anoka and at the License Centers located in Blaine, Columbia Heights, Coon Rapids, Ham Lake, and Ramsey.

Birth and Death records are included in a statewide system and cover births from 1935 to the present and deaths from 1997 to the present. For birth records prior to 1935 or death records prior to 1997, please visit the Vital Statistics office in the county of occurrence.

You can also register your Public Notary commission or have a document notarized at the Vital Statistics office or any of the License Centers.

Brush and Tree Waste
For information about disposal of branches, brush and other tree waste call 763-323-5730. For more information see: Integrated Waste Management.

Camping
Anoka County offers two public campgrounds at Bunker Hills and Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Regional Parks. Utility hook ups are available at both locations. Campsites are available from May through early October. Call the Parks Info Line at 763-767-2820 for details. For more information see: Parks & Recreation.

Chomonix Golf Course
Chomonix is located in the Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Regional Park Reserve. It is an 18-hole golf course with banquet facilities available for rental. Call the Chomonix Golf Course Info Line at 651-482-8484. For more information see: Parks & Recreation.

Composting - Yard Waste

Correctional Center - Adult
Anoka County Community Corrections has a 200 bed workhouse for men and women at the Metro Regional Treatment Center in Anoka, and a 60 bed medium security correctional center for adult men and women at Lino Lakes. The medium security facility is expanding with 60 additional beds. For information about Anoka County Community Corrections call 763-323-5830. Correctional Center - Juveniles
The Community Corrections Juvenile Center is located in Lino Lakes. This facility includes a day school for up to 90 truants and 8 foster homes that provide care for 80 children. The East Central Regional Juvenile Center is a maximum-security facility operated by Anoka County as part of a joint powers agreement for 11 counties. Deeds
The Department of Property Records and Public Service is the storehouse for land records in the county and is responsible for the accurate and official recording of various land-related transactions and ownership certification. Driver's License
Motor Vehicle
Driver's License renewals and Motor Vehicle registration (license tabs) and other driver and vehicle services are available at Anoka County License Centers.  For more information see License Bureau.

Driving Conditions

Hunting & Fishing Licenses
Game & Fish
DNR

Resident and non-resident licenses are available at the Anoka County License Centers. Most hunting and fishing licenses go on sale in mid-February. Small game and fishing licenses are valid from March 1 through February 28 the following year. Big game licenses go on sale in mid-August. Deer season begins in early November. Job Training Center
The Job Training Center provides employment and training services to the residents of Anoka County who are most in need of services. The highest priority to receive services are those who are unemployed, economically disadvantaged, and/or face multiple obstacles to gaining employment. Juror Information
For juror reporting instructions, selection process, exemptions/disqualification, jury pay or Grand Jury information, contact Court Administration at 763-422-7370. Or for active jurors, contact the Jury Information Line at 763-422-7405. For additional information see: Court Administration.

Library
Anoka County Library is located in Blaine, Minnesota which is home to the Northtown Central Library. There are 11 library branches throughout Anoka County. For additional information see: Anoka County Library

Medical Assistance
The Income Maintenance Department administers public assistance and child support enforcement programs. Public assistance staff determine eligibility and manage cases for cash, medical and food stamp programs, including the Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP), General Assistance (GA), Minnesota Supplemental Aid (MSA), Medical Assistance (MA), General Assistance Medical Care (GAMC), and food stamps. Mental Health

Nature Programs
A variety of nature, recreation and arts programs is offered at the Wargo Nature Center, Banfill - Locke Center for the Arts, and Coon Rapids Dam Visitor Center. Programs are available for a wide range of audiences. Groups and schools are welcome to call the nature center for program opportunities at 651-429-8007. Nursing Facilities
There are seven nursing facilities located within Anoka County. For information regarding these facilities contact the Public Health Nursing Intake Line at 763-422-6970 or the Senior Information Line at 763-783-4707. For additional information see: Human Services.

Parks
There are 16 developed regional and county parks located throughout Anoka County. The parks offer a variety of recreational opportunities, including swimming, fishing, horseback riding, hiking, biking, canoeing, boating, golfing and cross-country skiing. Passports

Picnic Shelters and Meeting Facilities
A number of Anoka County's parks offer picnic shelters and meeting facilities. The Parks & Recreation Department will be happy to help you select and reserve a picnic shelter or meeting room for your event. For more information see: Parks & Recreation.

Trails
Hiking, biking and cross-country ski trails are available throughout the Anoka County Parks System. Regional trail corridors, along the Mississippi River and Rice Creek, offer major links to trails in Ramsey and Hennepin counties. Call the Parks Info Line at 763-767-2820 for details. Traveler
Transit services in Anoka County give residents a variety of transportation options, from buses that travel on a scheduled route to dial-a-ride service that offers on-demand service anywhere within Anoka County. Voting Information

Wave Pool
The wave pool is located at Bunker Hills Regional Park, 701 County Parkway Road A in Coon Rapids. The wave pool is open from early June through Labor Day. Call the Wave Pool Info Line at 763-767-2895. For more information see: Parks & Recreation.
