Motor Vehicle Registration from out-of-stateFor information about other licenses and services, see the License Bureau home page How To ObtainA motor vehicle currently registered in another state can be registered in Minnesota, in person, at any Anoka County License Center. Submit foreign state Title, or current registration if Title is unavailable. Applicant provides: Insurance company name and policy number, current odometer reading, and drivers license or state issued identification card. If there is a lien against the vehicle, the owner must provide the name and complete address of the lender, as well as the date of the loan. Owner's signature is required on the Minnesota Title application. Required FormsThe form for out-of-state motor vehicle registration is available at any Anoka County License Center. Required IdentificationOwner's driver's license/state ID. Required FeesVaries, according to classification and year of vehicle.
