How To Obtain

A State Identification Card (initial application or duplicate) can be obtained, in person, at any Anoka County License Center.

Duplicates are issued to replace a lost or stolen ID card, or for address/name changes. The current ID must be valid for a period exceeding 90 days to receive a duplicate ID. If there are changes in address or name, proper identification must be presented.

Initial applications require the applicant to have a photo taken.  Proper identification must be presented.

The ID application form is available in any Anoka County License Center.

Go to the Minnesota Department of Vehicle Services Web site then click on "ID Requirements" for current rules on required identification.

Required Fees

Duplicate - $11.00

Initial Application

• Under age 65 - $16.25
• Senior ID - $11.00

Anoka County License Centers can accept payment by cash or check.
