Hanson Boulevard (CSAH 78) Reconstruction Project Update
The Anoka County Highway Department, the City of Andover, and the
City of Coon Rapids are preparing to reconstruct Hanson Boulevard
between 122nd Avenue to 140th Lane. As a result, Hanson Boulevard (CSAH
78) will be closed between 127th Avenue NW and Station Parkway from
mid-July to early November 2007. The detour will follow Main Street
(CSAH 14) to Coon Creek Boulevard to Bunker Lake Boulevard back to
Hanson.
Limited access will be allowed for residents living along Hanson
Boulevard and at 133rd Avenue to the Bunker Hills Compost Site.
Bunker Lake Boulevard (CSAH 116) and Main Street (CSAH 14) will
remain open during construction. The plans include reconstructing
Hanson Boulevard from 122nd Avenue to 140th Lane into a four-lane,
median divided roadway. Paved paths will also be constructed along
both sides of the road. The project is scheduled to be completed in
September 2008.
