Anoka County Press Release
Anoka County Board Designates September 17-23 Constitution Week

The Anoka County Board of Commissioners passed a resolution at
the August 28 board meeting designating the week of September 17-23
Constitution Week in Anoka County.
“It seems fitting that we set aside a time to formally recognize
and celebrate the meaning of our Constitution,” said Anoka County
Commissioner Dan Erhart, who introduced the resolution. “Every
American ought to be grateful for the courage, conviction, and
sacrifice of those who helped preserve the principles of our free
society with the drafting of our Constitution.”
Vickie Wendel, program manager, Anoka County Historical Society,
and member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, also
addressed the board about the importance of understanding the
provisions and principles contained in the Constitution.
