The Minnesota State Auditor’s Office issued an
“unqualified opinion” on the financial statements of Anoka County.
This means that the state auditor has concluded that financial
information provided by Anoka County provides an accurate,
comprehensive picture of the county’s financial position.
“The auditor’s office was very complimentary
about the job we are doing conducting and recording the county’s
finances,” said Anoka County Board Chair Dennis Berg. “This report
affirms the county’s commitment to keeping government transparent by
providing complete and accurate financial data.
Most larger counties in Minnesota are required to be audited each
year.
