10 COUNTIES CELEBRATE 10 YEARS OF COLLABORATION ON REGIONAL JUVENILE
CENTER

Commissioner Rachel Leonard toured the East Central Regional
Juvenile Center, located in Lino Lakes, during its ten year
anniversary in October. More than 10,000 youth, ages 10 to 21, have
utilized the facility in ten years. They stay in one of three living
units classified by gender and program status, including detention,
and/or adjudication. Ten counties participate in the center, Anoka,
Benton, Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec, Mille Lacs, Pine, Sherburne,
Washington, and Wright. Commissioners West and Leonard serve on the
advisory board for the Center.
