Commissioner Scott LeDoux Named Chair of County
Committees
 Anoka
County Commissioner Scott LeDoux was named chair of the Public
Safety, Airport, and Regional Crime Laboratory Committees at the
county board’s organizational meeting January 8, 2008.
Construction of the long-anticipated public safety campus in Andover
at Hanson Blvd. and 133rd Ave. is planned for 2008. “A key component
of the new public safety campus will be a full service regional
forensic lab, a cooperative effort between Anoka, Wright, and
Sherburne Counties,” LeDoux said. “This much-needed facility will
help alleviate long delays in evidence testing and ease the backlog
from the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA).”
Improvements to the Anoka County-Blaine Airport also are anticipated
in 2008, including new hangars and a fixed-based operator with
terminal. “These improvements will enable the airport to provide
better service to business clients,” LeDoux said.
LeDoux also was named to several other county committees for 2008
including Finance and Capital Improvements, Parks and Recreation,
Management, Intergovernmental and Community Relations, and Public
Works. He also was appointed to serve on the Community Corrections
Advisory Board and the East Central Regional Juvenile Center
Advisory Board. LeDoux will serve on the Anoka County Regional
Railroad Authority and the Coon Rapids Youth First Community
Consortium. He is a delegate for District 10 of the Association of
Minnesota Counties and the National Association of Counties.
