ANOKA COUNTY EARNS RECOGNITION AWARD FOR WEB-BASED SERVICE

The
2007 Minnesota Government IT Recognition Award in the category of
collaboration goes to a multi-divisional team of Anoka County and
state employees who created an interface between the State Social
Services Information System (SSIS) and the County’s Web-based Human
Services vendor payments program. The award is given by the
Government Training Services and the MN Office of Enterprise
Technology.
Anoka County Commissioner Jim Kordiak at the Feb. 26 county board
meeting said the award reflects the county’s commitment to
efficiency.
“Anoka County has a history of encouraging employees to keep finding
innovative and more effective ways to do business,” Commissioner
Kordiak said. “Everyone benefits.”
The
project was a collaborative effort between Anoka County, the State
of Minnesota Department of Human Services, and an outside consulting
firm, Tech Pro. The creation of an interface between county and
state systems allows the Human Services providers in the community
to electronically submit invoices for payment.
