Ever
wonder how you can do your part to take care of the earth? In
recognition of Earth Day, the Anoka County Parks and Recreation
Department is inviting the public to take part in a countywide
service project on Saturday, April 19, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. The
project will focus on cleaning and beautifying Rice Creek Chain of
Lakes Regional Park in Lino Lakes by picking up trash and planting
flowers and other plants. Families or groups of friends and
neighbors are asked to call 651-429-8007 to register for a specific
project.
Following the morning service project, everyone is invited to
gather at the Wargo Nature Center from 12:30-2:30 p.m. for an
afternoon of free, family fun activities including a petting zoo,
crafts, exhibits on earth-friendly practices and products, and more!
Wargo Nature Center is located in the Rice Creek Chain of Lakes
Regional Park Reserve at 7701 Main Street, Lino Lakes, MN. For
