Program Enrichment Subsidy

On this page:

Please contact Karie Gerdin at Child Care Licensing at 763-323-6102 if you have any questions.

What is the program?

The Program Enrichment Subsidy was developed by Anoka County Child Care Licensing to offer financial support for providers to coordinate stimulating and developmentally appropriate activities for children in care.

$50.00 is available, for as long as funds are available, to licensed family childcare providers who submit a program plan. Activities may involve field trips in the community or structured programs in the home.

Program Plan

The first step for providers is to complete a Program/ Field Trip Plan Form and mail it to Anoka County Child Care Licensing. Licensing staff will contact providers to confirm receipt of the form and approve the activity plan. If the program plan requires a faster response, it may be faxed to the licensing office at 763-422-7232, Attn: Karie Gerdin.

The attached resource list (see link below) is meant to provide some programming possibilities. The list is not all inclusive. Other programs may be arranged. If plans change and providers will not be using the subsidy, Child Care Licensing should be notified as soon as possible.

Reimbursement Plan

After activities have occurred, providers need only attach the original receipt to a reimbursement form and send it to:

Anoka County Social Services –
Child Care Licensing - Attn: Karie Gerdin
2100 3rd Avenue – 5th floor
Anoka MN 55303

Reimbursement cannot be processed without a receipt or cancelled check. Reimbursement will not be made for purchases of curriculum, food, beverage, souvenirs, or parking. Providers can expect reimbursement within four weeks. Reimbursement requests for 2008 activities must be received by Anoka County no later than December 19, 2008.
