 Orientation Meeting Schedule
If you are an Anoka County resident and interested in becoming a
licensed family child care provider in Anoka County the first step would be
to attend an orientation meeting. The orientation meeting is a
required meeting to start the licensing process.
Please note: The Anoka County Family
Child Care Licensing Unit is responsible for licensing and
monitoring family child care homes within the county. Child Care
Centers located within the county are licensed directly by the State
of Minnesota. If you have any questions regarding Child Care
Centers or how to open up a center, call the State of Minnesota at
651-296-3971.
Orientation Meeting Dates
You must register at least one day before the scheduled meeting
date. See registration information below.
The following are evening meetings. The Anoka County Government
Center main doors are unlocked at 6:40 p.m. Registration begins at 6:45
p.m. The meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. and generally
ends at about 9:00 p.m.

How to Register
To register for Orientation, call 763-422-6938. The recorded
message
includes the time and location of the meeting and any
other pertinent information related to the orientation meeting.
Leave your name and city after the end of the
message.
You can also register by sending an e-mail with your name and
city to
childcarelicensing@co.anoka.mn.us
If you register via e-mail we strongly recommend that you call the
recorded message at 763-422-6938 to get orientation meeting details.
Whether you register by phone or e-mail, you are registering only
for the upcoming meeting. At this time you cannot register for
future meetings.
