Anoka County Older Adult Respite Program To request a respite volunteer
The Anoka County Older Adult Respite Program matches a family in need with a
trained respite volunteer. Under this program, a prescreened volunteer provides
companionship for care recipients in their own homes, usually for two to four
hours a week.
Respite volunteers do not provide health care services, give medications or perform household duties. Donations to this program are appreciated. Although there is no obligation to donate, your financial contribution will help other caregivers. Eligibility for the Older Adult Respite Program: Caregivers and care recipients reside in Anoka County and meet the following requirements:
Be the difference in a caregiver’s life--volunteer. Make a difference in your community by becoming a respite volunteer. Provide breaks to caregivers in the caregiver’s home. Be a friend to a homebound person. Receive professional training. Create a flexible volunteer schedule with the caregiver. page last updated -
