Volunteering for the Senior Caregiver Network

The Anoka County Senior Caregiver Network (SCN) is a network of services for caregivers and those for whom they care.  The network provides volunteer opportunities for Respite Providers.

The Respite Provider offers respite (a period of rest or relief) from caregiving responsibilities to those providing 24-hour, 7 day a week care.

Respite Providers:

• Provide companion care
• Develop friendships
• Share their skills and time
• Help the care recipient to remain at home

Respite volunteers do not:

• Give medications
• Do housework
• Provide professional care
