Public Health Nursing Visits

As part of Community Health’s commitment to promote the health and well-being of the community, a public health nurse is available to visit your home, school, or other site at no charge to you. The kind of service a public health nurse can provide includes:

  • discussing pregnancy, new baby, and postpartum care; children’s growth and development; family planning; child and teen checkups; family relationships; community resources; parenting; childhood safety; nutrition; violence prevention; and immunizations
  • help connecting you with resources in the community
  • help for families who have children with special needs (Interagency Early Intervention, IEIC)
