Children's Crisis Services

People Incorporated Riverwind Mental Health Crisis Services provides 24-hour, 7-day a week, mobile mental health crisis response, assessment, and stabilization to children in Anoka County.

The goals of the Children's Crisis Services program are:

  • To meet immediate mental health needs
  • To help families create a plan to address children’s future mental health needs

 

The Children's Crisis Services program at Riverwind provides the following:

  • Initial Crisis Response
    • Crisis intervention
    • Conflict de-escalation
    • Assistance with “next-step” planning
    • Safety evaluation
    • Mental health and mental status assessment
  • Crisis Stabilization
    • Further assessment of mental health issues
    • Short-term counseling
    • Transition to ongoing support/treatment
    • Connection to community resources
