If you are caring for a child who cannot return to his or her parents, and other family members are not appropriate caregivers, you may be able to provide a permanent adoptive home for the foster child or children in your care.
Children need stable, as well as loving and caring families. The County’s goal is to have a child’s first placement be his or her last. That’s why Anoka County has the option of adoption for foster parents. Discuss this option with staff.
Or, for more information about Anoka County's adoption program, see Adoption.
