The Eastern Anoka County Human Service Center is
conveniently located for Anoka County residents who live in the eastern part
of the county, particularly the communities of Lexington, Circle
Pines, and Lino Lakes.
The center provides these programs:
- Child
Care Licensing: Social workers license and monitor family
child care homes. Services for providers include training and other

- Children’s Mental Health: This unit is
designed to identify children within the community who may benefit
from services. Social workers help families locate and connect
to available community support services. For more information,

- Community
Corrections: Probation officers work with the court system
to help juvenile offenders meet their court-ordered conditions.
Services include assisting offenders and their families with concerns
about school, jobs, and other activities. For more information, call

- Community Health: Public health nurses provide
services, education and referrals to community resources for
individuals and families. Services may include help with: pregnancy,
parenting, building healthy relationships, child safety, family
planning, and children’s growth and development. For more

- Developmental Disability Services: Social
workers provide case management for individuals with developmental
disabilities. Services may include helping families find resources
and support. For more information, call 763-422-7176.
- Employment Services: A vocational counselor works
with participants in the Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP)
and Diversionary Work Program (DWP) to establish employment and
training goals. Job seekers have access to: a computer for job
searching, daily newspapers, job postings and faxing of resumes.
Referrals to other employment related activities and community

- Income Maintenance: Financial workers take
applications and maintain cases for: the Minnesota Families
Investment Program (MFIP), Diversionary Work Program (DWP), Food
Stamps, Medical Assistance, MinnesotaCare and Emergency Assistance.
