At this time Anoka County is not planning to offer compost bins for sale. Options for compost bins and rain barrels we currently know about are listed below.
Available year-round:
Gopher Resources Corporation operates the Dakota County Recycling Zone, they sell the Soil Saver compost bin and several rain barrels year around. They are located at 3365 South Hwy 149/Dodd Road, Eagan, MN 55121. Visit The Recycling Zone for directions and hours. Only cash or checks are accepted for payment. Call 651-905-4520 with questions.
Available starting April 20:
The Recycling Association of Minnesota is holding a number of events selling compost bins and rain barrels. Pre-ordering and pre-payment is required. In addition, local home improvement, hardware stores and garden centers may also offer compost bins. Many types of bins are for sale online at www.composters.com.
