Thank you to all the Block Captains in our service area for committing your time and talents to leading your Neighborhood Crime Watch group. Without your support, our office could not run the NCW program. As talked about at our annual meeting, we have added a form letter for you to use in order to inform and recruit neighbors to participate in the crime watch program. We have also included the minutes from our 2007 annual meeting.
Block Captains -- Are you signed up to receive the Friday Updates?
Every friday an email is sent to you that includes Investigator Insights given by Detectives Knealing, Lindberg, and Johnson who are the three detectives assigned to the Patrol Division that handle patrol investigations in our jurisdiction. The goal is to warn you of current crime trends and prevention techniques.
You will also be aware of the Extra Patrol that is implemented in your city based on requests from residents, and from our office's observations of potential problems.
Arrest information will be included for each city.
We strongly encourage you as our liasion to your neighborhood, to share these Friday Updates with the members of your group. If people know what is going on, they are more likely to report suspicious behaviors and take steps to protect their home and family! Email laura.landes@co.anoka.mn.us to get on the list.
