Information About:
Store latex paint where it won’t freeze. Repeated freezing will make latex paint unusable. Usable quantities of latex paint in good condition can be used by others or used by paint manufacturers to make new paint with some recycled content.
Dry small quantities of latex paint in a well ventilated area and place it in the garbage. For small amounts, remove the lid and let the paint dry in the can. Stir the paint occasionally to speed drying, or brush paint in layers on newspaper or cardboard.
Put the completely dry paint, the cans, and other material in the garbage. Leave the lids off the paint cans so the garbage hauler will see the paint is dry and will accept the cans.
Bring usable quantities of latex paint (full or almost full gallon cans) to the Anoka County Household Hazardous Waste Facility. Good, usable paint is placed in the free product area for others to use for free.
